obstacles. And for me the biggest obstacle I had to face was myself. For
many years now I have been struggling with the knowledge that I was unlike
everyone else around me. And yet I tried desperately to fit in. But
recently I have been trying to embrace these strange and yet wonderful
feelings I have for some of those around me. Deep down inside me I know that I am gay; and because I have been
struggling with this all my life, I find it hard to just stop fighting and be who I am. I am searching for someone that
can take their time and help me. One who is willing to give his all to show me, help me and love me for who I am.
Like I said, I am an inmate and I see how they treat others who are like us. Always degrading them, talking to them
like they are trash -- this scares me. In here one is guilty by association and I am not ready for that yet. For that
reason, I am reaching out in the only way I feel safe. For that special someone to help me grow not only as a
person but also as a gay man. To teach me how to handle all the hardships one must endure being gay. I think
